Dr. Wu Intensive Renewal Serum with Mandelic Acid 18% Review
With all the good benefits claimed, it is hard for us to not
to give this a try! Bought this serum in Taiwan.
Dr. Wu Intensive Renewal Serum with such a high acid
percentage - Mandelic Acid 18% didn’t leave us with any skin peeling effect,
which we feel that this is good. We don’t feel any tingling or irritation effect
after putting it onto the face. The product did claim that “It is okay &
normal to have irritation during the initial usage”.
In terms of moisturizing effect, we don’t feel it after used.
So it is important to follow up with a moisturizer such as Dr. Wu Daily Renewal
Lotion with Mandelic Acid (for rough and sensitive skin) or any other moisturizer after the mandelic
acid serum.
Texture – just like water, very runny makes it a little difficult to apply to the skin
Packaging – Serum dropper, which is really perfect for such a runny texture product.
Usage – Only use 2-3 times a week
Smell – Almost no smell. No fragrance. If your nose is sensitive enough, you may smell some mild 'sour' or acidic smell.
Effect – no peeling, no dryness(possible this is due to we have very oily skin), no irritation, but leave us a brighter skin. Noticeable acne reduction.
What make Dr. Wu Mandelic Acid serum different from others?
Dr. Wu Intensive Renewal Serum’s uses several patented
technologies and its formula contains Sodium Hyaluronate, Tinocare GL (Beta-Blucan)
and Biophytex which can be easily absorbed by the skin to facilitate hydration
and reduce dark spot and freckles.
Finally, you must be discipline enough to use this 2-3 times weekly
continuously in order to see effect. What we can see for now is the freckles
have lighten and skin looks brighter however we still haven’t see noticeable finer and smoother skin and improve skin elasticity yet. We do notice our adult acne have been significantly reduce but need to monitor this closer. J
** Note: It is advisable not use other acidic product such
as salicylic acid, etc while using this mandelic acid treatment.
